Ruby Aiken Good, 99, of New Haven, entered eternal rest on June 30, 2021. She was the widow of James Harold Good.

Mrs. Good was born in Union, SC on November 24, 1921, a daughter of the late Willie Aiken and Alice Jefferies Aiken.

She was a longtime member of Bible Gospel Center in Hamden and prior to her retirement, was employed as a Seamstress.

She leaves to cherish loving memories, her children, Barbara Jean Reed (Roy), Gladys Neverta Rainey (David), Sandra Gibson (Robert) and Kenneth Antonio Good (Stephanie); a daughter in-law, Gwendolyn Good; sister, Ruthie Mae McLeanof Philadelphia, PA; a sister in-law, Rosetta Aiken of Jonesville, SC; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by children, James Harold Good, Jr., Curtis Good, Lee Edward Good and John Arthur Good; and siblings, Marie Sanders, Jessie Aiken, Essie Browning, Bessie Aiken, Alice Browning, Marion Aiken, Neverta Aiken, Alba Sims, Vernon Aiken and Troy Aiken.

A celebration of Mrs. Good’s life and legacy will be held Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at Bible Gospel Center, 143 Leeder Hill Dr., Hamden. Viewing will be held at the church from 9:00-11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Anyone attending the services of Mrs. Good must adhere to all COVID-19 safety precautions.
