Harry Anthony Teabout, Jr., 93, of West Haven, departed this life September 20, 2014.
Born in New Haven, CT, July 12, 1921, he was the son of the late Harry A. Teabout, Sr. and Cora Gretchen Henderson Taylor.
Mr. Teabout was a U.S. Army veteran and was employed by the late Mr. and Mrs. T.A.D. Jones, from 1948-1979, as a Caretaker.
He was a member of the IBPOE of W East Rock Lock #141 and American Legion Post 71.
Mr. Teabout is survived by a son, Harry Anthony Teabout, III (Linda); a daughter, Deborah Ann Miller; stepdaughters, Jaynell M.H. Wright, Marlene F.H. Moss and Rhonda H. Bivins; a goddaughter, Lynn M. Waters; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his spouses, Ardella Hill Monrow Teabout and Dorothy Carnegie Teabout.
A celebration of Mr. Teabout’s life and legacy will be held Saturday, September 27, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. Viewing will be held from 10:00-11:00 A.M. Burial will be private.
