May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. It seems so unfair that death would have the power to take away someone you love. And when it happens, the thought of never being able to talk to, laugh with, or hold your loved one can be most difficult to bear. The pain is not necessarily erased by being told that our loved one is up in heaven, as if God doesn’t care about our pain. We are given a promise that someday we will never have to cope with this kind of pain again, “He [God] will actually swallow up death forever … [And] He will certainly wipe the tears from all faces”…. Isaiah 25:8
