James L. Hodge, 88, of New Haven, entered eternal rest on November 2, 2018.
Mr. Hodge was born in Middletown, CT on June 12, 1930, a son of the late James Hodge and Gertrude Hodge.
James was employed for many years in New York as a Chef and was a Marine Corps. veteran.
He leaves to cherish loving memories, a daughter, Theresa Hodge; sisters, Evangelist Barbara Brooks, Rovella Weeks (Dave) and Stephanie Sessions (Leo); brothers, Douglas, Dennis, Steven and Donald Hodge; a niece, Dana Brooks Ward (Milton); and a host of nieces nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by brothers, Harry and Joseph Hodge; and a sister, Alma Barlow.
A celebration of Mr. Hodge’s life and legacy will be held Monday, November 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Temple Revival Center, 832 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. Viewing will be held at the church from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Hamden Plains Cemetery.
Family, So Sorry For You’re Loss! I just found out yesterday afternoon, i sure would have attended Hodge’s home going service. gonna miss all of the great chats we had my friend. you were always a gentleman and live a good life. until we meet again rest Hodge!
