Sara Thomas-Greaux, 60, of West Haven, departed this life October 9, 2014.
Born in New Haven, CT, February 19, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Herberto Fernandez and Estelle Smith Fernandez.
Ms. Thomas-Greaux was previously employed at Paradigm Healthcare Center as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant.
She is survived by daughters, Raquel Fernandez, Alyse Thomas Putnam (Zachary), Yanina Simon, and Krystal Marie James; sons, Charles Antoine Spann (Mary-Kristen) and Evan James; a brother, Herberto Fernandez, Jr.; sisters, Ellen Doram, Patricia Turner (Richard) and Marie Coleman (Tommy); dear friend, John Black; 13 grandchildren; a great grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Simmons.
A celebration of Ms. Thomas-Greaux’s life and legacy will be held Thursday, October 16, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. at Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church, 1324 Chapel St., New Haven. Entombment will be in the Beaverdale Mausoleum.
