Marion Baker Green, 94, of North Haven, died on September 19, 2018. She was the widow of David A. Green, Sr. Mrs. Green was born in New Haven, CT on February 16, 1924, a daughter of the late Willoughby Baker, Sr. and Rachel Huggins Baker. She is survived by a son, David A. (Maria) Green, Jr; a daughter, Victoria Boyd; grandchildren, Aaron D. and Jarrett F. Green, Nia West-Bey, Challa Flemming, Calvin Wright, Joseph, Dionne, Shawn and Kwesi; a host of great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. Marion was preceded in death by a daughter, Antoinette Green Wright; siblings, Joseph, Percy, Willoughby, Jr. and Helen Baker, Olive B. Moales, Cynthia B. Archie, C. Maxwell Baker, Constance Baker Motley, Edna Carnegie, Eunice Royster and Edward Baker; and grandchildren, Rennie and Marc.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. Viewing and visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
To Marion, my cousin and lifelong friend, We’ve shared many many things over the years. I’ll miss your occasional phone calls, but know you are resting in peace.
