Karen D. Bryant, 55, of East Haven, entered eternal rest on April 7, 2017.
Born in New Haven, CT, July 14, 1961, she was a daughter of Rev. Alfred Warren, Sr. and Rosa Boxley Johnson.
Karen was employed by the State of Connecticut as a Support Enforcement Assistant.
In addition to her parents, she leaves to cherish loving and lasting memories, sons, Yusuf Bilal and Marquis R. Bryant, Sr.; daughters, Philicia E. Bryant and Monica A. Bryant; brothers, David, Brian, Alfred Jr. and Mark Warren and Michael Crocker; sisters, Lori Smith, Jennifer, Nicole and Michele Warren, Lisa Murray and Darlene McAllister; two grandchildren, Marquis R. Bryant, Jr. and Shaylin Bilal; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Ms. Bryant’s life and legacy will be held Thursday, April 13, 2017, at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Church of God in Christ, 135 Winthrop Ave., New Haven. Viewing will be held at the church from 9:00-10:00 AM. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
My heart is heavy the pain is unrelenting. My heart bleeds. God loves you more and called you home. Rest now my darling daughter, you will forever be in my heart. I shall never forget the times we had together. LOVE MOM
RIP my beloved sister. I will miss you so much. I will miss all the days we just laughed, talked and shed a few tears together. You rest and we will laugh again soon.

I’ve known Ms. Karen since I was a little boy. I was a member of her dad’s church New Deliverance COGIC. She was always a very nice lady & would always speak when I would see her. She will be missed by so many that knew her. I am praying for the family. Love you all.
