Elias Earl Frizzelle, III, 78, of New Haven, entered eternal rest on February 12, 2022.
Mr. Frizzelle was born in Winterville, NC, on September 13, 1943, a son of the late Elias Earl Frizzelle, Jr. and Mammie Ruth Gray.
He was a longtime employee of New Haven Taxi Cab Company where he was employed as Taxi Cab driver.
He leaves to cherish loving memories, his children, Keisha Marina, Germaine Lyde, Byron Frizzelle, Sr., Kwasi Frizzelle and Lashawnna Monk; siblings, Lester Smith, Ruth Talton (Ike), Gerald Tolbert, Cynthia Williams and Milton Frizzelle; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, a very special aunt, Verna Mae Simms and other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife, Catherine Moye Frizzelle; sisters, Ora Jean Frizzelle-Flynn, Judith Lowery and Sandra Coward; and a brother, Robert Frizzelle, Sr.
A memorial service to celebrate Mr. Frizzelle’s life and legacy will be held Friday, February 18, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight Street, New Haven. Anyone attending the service must adhere to all COVID-19 safety precautions.

On behalf of Elm City Communities it was a pleasure to know Mr. Frizzelle as his Resident Service Coordinator, he was such a character and didn’t mind speaking his mind.
He was kind hearted a gentle soul and a master at his scooter skills, he will definitely be missed among the staff and residents at McQueeney Towers!! Prayers and Condolences to the entire family!!!
