Delores Brooks, 60, of New Haven, entered eternal rest on August 26, 2016.
Delores was born on September 1, 1955 in Trenton, NJ. She was a daughter of the late Robert B. Brooks, Sr. and Marie Howard Brooks.
She was employed at Wexler-Grant School in New Haven as a Teacher and was a member of Greater Works Ministry in Bridgeport.
Delores is survived by a daughter, Tanya Brooks; a brother, Charles Brooks; sisters, Sharon Brooks Law (Richard) and Mary Jones; grandchildren, Shantell, Sharnice and Qua’Niel Brooks, Trayshana Spears and Harlem Smokes III; six great grandchildren; and host of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Ms. Brooks’ life and legacy will be held Friday, September 2, 2016, at 11:00 AM at St. Stephen’s Pentecostal Church, 856 Congress Ave., New Haven. Viewing will be held at the church from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
