Aurelia Turner, 79, of New Haven, departed this life on September 29, 2020. She was the widow of Wiley E. Turner.
Mrs. Turner was born in Mt. Vernon, NY on May 11, 1941, a daughter of the late Charles Joiner and Ethel Lee Jones Joiner.
She was the owner for numerous years of Rhea’s Day Care.
She leaves to cherish loving memories, her children, Ethelyn Joiner, Lisa Streater, John Townsend and Tyrell E. Turner; a brother, Dougie of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters, Lauretta Dickstein of Henderson, Nevada, Elaine Joiner of Durham, North Carolina and Charlaine Nelson and Gwenette Joiner of New Haven; grandchildren, Ireyna Cogswell, Chaz Brown, Jordan Townsend, Kaylin Townsend and Ty’Nique Turner; two great grandchildren, Shyir and Avery Cogswell; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by a brother, Charles R. Joiner, Jr. of Colonial Heights, Virginia
Memorial service will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
