Annie Bell “Annabell” Brand, age 89, of New Haven, widow of Arthur Brand entered eternal life on Friday, July 9, 2021. She was born the second youngest of eleven children on September 22, 1931, in Williamsburg County, South Carolina to the late Walter and Estelle Burgess Fulwood.
She was a faithful and active member of St. Matthew’s UFWB Church for 63 years and owned and operated ‘ABC’ Daycare.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories her children: Frances (aka Deloris) (George) Mouzon, Jessie (William) Carter, Arthur L. Brand Jr., and Fannie Brand Oliver; one sister, Nadine Fitzpatrick; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; one godson, Kenny Driffin; adopted daughter, Alexandra Moellmann; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Mrs. Brand was predeceased by two sons, Louis and Timothy Brand; one sister, Kathy Williams; three brothers, James W. Fulwood, Frank Fulwood, Sr., and Leroy Fulwood; a son-in-law, Myron Oliver; and one granddaughter, Shaniqua Bagley;
A celebration of life will be held Friday, July 16, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at St Matthew’s UFWB Church, 400 Dixwell Ave., New Haven. Viewing will be held at the church from 10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
