Anita W. Riddick, 74, of Hamden, CT, departed this life on December 21, 2022.
Ms. Riddick was born in New Haven, CT, on June 29, 1948, a daughter of the late Edward “Buck” White, Sr., and Phyllis West White.
She served faithfully as a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 44 years, and as a Pioneer in the faith for 12 years.
Prior to her retirement from Gaylord Hospital in 2009, Ms. Riddick was employed there as a Certified Respiratory Therapist for 35 years.
She is survived by a son, Joshua Riddick (Christie); a stepson, Randall Redd, Sr. (Helen); a stepdaughter, Tracy Edwards (Hugh); three brothers, Edward White, Jr., Keith White, Sr., and Barry White, Sr.; her grandchildren, Philip T. Riddick, Jr., Janelle Tapper (James), Iycis Ruff, Ashton Riddick, and Jaxson Riddick; a great-granddaughter, Nia Tapper; and a host of nieces. nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
She was predeceased by sons, Philip T. Riddick, Sr., and Kumal Riddick; a sister, Linda White-Epps; and a brother, Craig White.
On Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 10-11am a viewing and visitation service will be held followed by a memorial talk at 11am at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 885 Wintergreen Ave., Hamden, CT and on Zoom

To Tracy, Hugh and family, I was sorry to hear of the loss of Anita. I met her many years ago while working at the Hospital of Saint Raphael’s. Anita was always caring and pleasant with her patients and whoever she came in contact with I know she will be deeply missed.

To the White Family. Just heard of Anita’s passing. My condolences and prayers. I to worked with her at the Hospital of St. Raphael in the late 60’s and early 70’s as well. Has ran into her over the years when we were out shopping. What an amazing person. Sweet spirit always as said by others and kind.
