My Sincerest Condolences to the Family and Friends of Mary Russell.
Mary was blessed and appreciated for her reinforced, pillar of strength character. She was often consulted and pursued relative to her opinion on a matter. Her response and straightforwardness, left little doubt. Mary will be missed, especially by those of us who included her amongst our small circle of friends. Bless your heart, Mary Russell. Rest your soul. Peace.

To the family; you all have been blessed by having a sister, mother, aunt like Mary. She was just as special as a friend. Mary was the most authentic person I know. She cared and was interested… She made connections so deeply that you couldn’t help be changed by knowing her. She loved her family; her grandbaby, Rodney and Moni were everything to her – you could feel it whenever she talked about them. She was warm and resilient and funny and honest and considerate and smart and kind and wise. I loved everything about her and I share in your loss but also share in the joy of having had her as a someone I love.
With deep sympathy and sending you all healing love energy, God bless you,

I am so sorry to hear the passing of Mary who I have known for many years, we all grew up on Ashmun Street and were like family. I love Pie (which we use to call her years ago). Mary was such a beautiful person inside and out, always greeted people with that beautiful smile of hers, and always had kind words for every one. She will definitely be missed by all of those who knew and loved her. May God strenghten all of you at this time. I will keep this family lifted in prayer, as God will lighten your load. Mary was an incredible force to be reckoned with. She swooped into my life one workday with a gust of warmth, caring, a big smile and some fruit salad. She brightened my day, days and spirit and for that I nicknamed her Saint Mary. She will always be remembered. She was a bold, stylish, smart and funny multifaceted woman with an interesting outlook on life and a very, very big heart.
I will miss her spirit.💕
My love and condolences to Moni, Rodney, and the rest of her beautiful family.🙏🏽💖🙏🏽

All my prayers go out to the family. Mary was my friend, even though, Mary and I had lost contact with each other. I always admired her courage, dedication, winning ways, and devotion to her family. May the presence of The Lord comfort you all in this time of grief.
To The Russell Family:
Mary was the nicest person you could ever meet, honest in her conversation I’m very glad to have met her in 80’s. When i had my daughter and Mary watch her grow the conversation was just like Mary talk about teen pregnancy to her and I was thankful for it.
Rest in Peace, Mary
With deepest sadness at hearing of Mary’s passing.

I was very sad to hear of Mary’s passing. When I think of New Haven and those of us who grew up there, Mary was one of those with talent, gifts, and wisdom. She will be missed by so many of us.
A wonderful and kind person that will be truly be missed by family and friends. We go way back Mary, from the ’60s until now. You my friend will never be forgotten. May you rest in peace my friend.
I have known Mary since I was little; back in the Baldwin days, she would take time to talk and ask how the family was doing. She was always supportive of her community, and she will never be forgotten
