Paul L. Head, 91, of Woodbridge, entered eternal rest on July 24, 2021. He was the widower of Ehennia S. Head.
Mr. Head was born in Springfield, TN on April 4, 1930, a son of the late James M. Head and Levana Head.
Mr. Head was a Korean War Army veteran and received an honorable discharge in 1953.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft as a Tool and Die Maker for 35 years. He was a longtime member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Hamden where he served on the Men’s Ministry.
He leaves to cherish loving memories, his children, Paula L. Head-Coleta (Marcelino), Paul L. Head, Jr. (Beverly), Rodney L. Head (Erika) and Fred L. Sesler (Beth); siblings, Florence Hilliard, Eva McClain, Alve Dean Head (Almeda), James Head(Rose), John Head (Shirley), Elizabeth Chapman (James), and Frank Head; five grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by siblings, Robert L. Head, Joe Lewis Head, Charlie May Motley, Georgia Mae Gardner John Billie Head, Georgia Ann Chatman, Margaret Beamer, William Head and Arthur Head.
A celebration of Mr. Head’s life and legacy will be held Monday, August 2, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 26 Edwards St., Hamden. A viewing will be held at the church from 10:00-11:00 A.M. The entombment will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park’s Mausoleum.
