Rossie Moye, 73, of New Haven, entered eternal rest on June 8, 2021. He was born in Greenville, NC on December 9, 1947, a son of the late Huirles L. Moye, Jr. and Doris R. Mills Moye. Rossie is survived by a wife, Dorothy Barlow Moye and a former spouse Geraldine White. In addition, he leaves to cherish loving memories, daughters, Teshannee Kendra Moye, Saara Moye, Wanda Blackwell and Landa Blackwell; his sons, Rossie Moye, Jr., Rodney Hiton and Rossie Covington; brothers, Ronald Moye and David Moye; his sisters, Diane Fraiser, Dolly Moye and Crystal Spencer; and six grandchildren.
Rossie was a longtime member of Mount Zion Seventh-Day Aventist Church, then Oasis Hill SDA Church where he served formerly as a Deacon, a Steward and a Colporteur. He served honorably in the United States Army on an overseas tour of duty from 1967-1969. Rossie was a beloved and hardworking Foreman at Cell-Pak in Bridgeport.
A celebration of Rossie’s life and legacy will be held Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Temple Church, 285 Dixwell Ave., New Haven. Viewing will be held at the church from 10:00:-11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Anyone attending services must adhere to all COVID-19 safety precautions.

So sorry to hear of the passing of my long-time friend Rossie. I have so many fun memories of our youth.
He will always hold a special place in my memory. You could always count my man to be dressed to impress. I’ll miss you brother sleep well. Rest assure you are gone to a better place, but you will never be forgotten.
