Judith A. Forbes, 80, of Hamden, departed this life on December 14, 2019.
Ms. Forbes was born in New Haven, CT on December 21, 1938, daughter of the late Gordon John Brown and Doris Brown.
Prior to retiring, she was employed at Yale-New Haven Hospital as a Control Substance Technician.
Judith was a longtime member of Community Baptist Church in New Haven.
She leaves to cherish loving memories, her sons, Wesley Forbes (Arlene) and Glenn Forbes (Marie); nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Ms. Forbes’ life and legacy will be held Monday, December 23, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Community Baptist Church, 143 Shelton Ave., New Haven. Viewing and visitation will be held at the church from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
I’ll never forget all the trips you had taken me and your sons (wheetie and chico) on in that brown ford mustang that everyone loved. Will miss you dearly.
Rest in peace Ms. Forbes. Grateful for being a part of your life, you were a great mom and a good person. im blessed to have been a part of a good community we shared on shelton ave. looking back i see we were one big family.

I aways knew she was special when she used to come to my sisters house for their catd games and she would tell her let me stay until everybody,got there and would share a laugh at Wes house when there was a cookout about my uncle,who,cut the line at my nieces reception,and how much food he had to her family thank you for,allowing someone like her so instrumental in my life again you all have our deepiest condolences in behalf of such great loss
