Sarah M. Gore, 68, of Hamden, entered eternal rest on November 2, 2018.
Ms. Gore was born in Georgetown, SC on November 29, 1949, a daughter of the late Leonard Canteen and Martha Canteen.
She was a member of Rock Tabernacle Ministries in New Haven and prior to retiring, she was employed at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft as a Machine Operator.
Sarah leaves to cherish loving memories, sisters, Betty Hancock (Robert), Barbara G. White and Sylvia and Susan Canteen; brothers, Leonard Jr., Willie E. and James A. Canteen; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, Lawrence “Langston” Gore, Jr.; a sister, Catherine Shaw; and a brother Nathaniel Canteen.
A celebration of Ms. Gore’s life and legacy will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018, at 9:00 a.m. at First and Summerfield United Methodist Church, 425 College St., New Haven. Viewing will be held at the church from 8:00-9:00 a.m. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park
Sarah Gore was my neighbor for over twenty five yrs on Watson St before I moved to Al She was a very good neighbor and she will be missed so much. We send our condolences to the family from Samuel , Georgia and Ruth Jackson from Montgomery Al God bless the family .
