James E. “Rudy” Perkins, Jr., 71, of New Haven, entered eternal rest on September 15, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Lillie E. Perkins. Mr. Perkins was born in Whiteville, NC on December 13, 1946, a son of the late James E. Perkins, Sr. and Rheedes Perkins. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy and prior to retiring, James was employed at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft as a Foreman. In addition to his wife, he leaves to cherish loving memories, daughters, Tiara T. Valentino-Perkins and Sharon Marie (Carleton) Nealy-Barbour; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Mr. Perkins’ life and legacy will be held Monday, September 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Bible Gospel Center, 143 Leeder Hill Dr., Hamden. Viewing and visitation will be held at the church from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
