Bertha Mae Darden Moye, 93, of New Haven, entered eternal rest on December 11, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Charlester Moye.
Mrs. Moye was born in Ayden, NC on January 3, 1924, a daughter of the late William H. and Jennie B. Darden. Prior to retiring in 1989, she was employed by Yale-New Haven Hospital for 35 years.
She will be missed by her children, Charles D. Moye and Yvonne B. Tyson; 7 sisters in-law; a brother in-law; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister; and 2 brothers.
A celebration of Mrs. Moye’s life and legacy will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 7:00 PM at Beulah Heights First Pentecostal Church, 782 Orchard St., New Haven. Viewing will be held at the church from 6:00-7:00 PM. Burial will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
