Larry D. Zackery, 67, of Hamden, entered eternal rest on November 12, 2017. He was the widower of Ruth Zackery.
Mr. Zackery was born in Little Rock, AR on August 27, 1950, son of the late Webster Zackery, Sr. and Johnnie Zackery.
Larry was a retired Firefighter for the New Haven Fire Department and was a member of Bethel AME Church.
He leaves to cherish loving memories, a son, Larry P. Zackery (Shanavia); brothers, Webster Zackery, Jr. (Margaret) and Melvin Zackery (Ann); sisters, Margie Sigular and Roxie Atkins (John); a granddaughter, Lauryn Zackery; special niece, Jaya Bellamy; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by brothers, Euradell, James and Tilman Zackery; and sisters, Irene Jackson and Joanne Johnson.
A celebration of Mr. Zackery’s life and legacy will be held Friday, November 17, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Bethel AME Church, 255 Goffe St., New Haven. Burial will be private.
