Sheila R. Tisdale, 49, of New Haven, entered eternal rest on May 11, 2017.
Born in New Haven, CT, February 11, 1968, she was a daughter of Ruth Smith Keene Mose and George H. Tisdale (Fannie Mae).
Sheila was previously employed as a Correctional Officer by the State of Connecticut.
In addition to her parents, she leaves to cherish loving and lasting memories, a son, Tyzchell Tisdale; grandsons, Keon and Tayvon Tisdale; granddaughters, Nevaeh and Sinah Tisdale. brothers, George A. (Monique), Herbert (Valencia) and Benjamin Tisdale, Anthony McBride, Delvin and Keith Keene, Sean Ingram; sisters, Patrice Tisdale-Vessells (Richard), Doreen, Cheryl and Annette Tisdale, Veronica Tisdale-Otamere (Egbon) and Kendra Keene; step brothers John, Joseph, Freddie, David Newton (Delores); stepsisters Rosie and Michelle Newton; special cousins, Antoine Scott, John Smith, Michelle Montiero, Pauletta Sewefi and Pamela Downing; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her stepfather Dennis Keene who raised her; stepfather, Abraham Mose; stepsisters Jannie and Ernestine Newton.
A celebration of Sheila’s life and legacy will be held Friday, May 19, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Trinity Temple Church of God in Christ, 285 Dixwell Ave., New Haven. Viewing will be held at the church from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
