Robert A. Huff, Sr., 83, of Hamden, entered into eternal rest on February 13, 2016. He was the widower of Clarice Walker Huff.
Mr. Huff was born in New Haven, CT, January 29, 1933, a son of the late Charles S. Huff and Ora Eubanks Huff.
Prior to retiring, he was employed at Winchester Repeating Arms as a Machine Operator. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was also a member of Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. Huff is survived by sons, Robert, Jr. (Linda), David (Donna) and Kevin (Doris) Huff; daughters, Deborah (William) Taylor, Karryn Rivers and Pamela Huff; a sister in-law, Ann Huff; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by brothers, David, Clarence, Paul, Ulysses, Charles and Hillary Huff; and sisters, Bertha Huff Walker, Audrey Turner, Mildred and Shirley Pratt, Clarice Walker and Doris Ellis.
A celebration of Mr. Huff’s life and legacy will be held Monday, February 22, 2016 at 9:30 A.M. in the chapel at the Connecticut Veterans’ Home, 287 West St., Rocky Hill. Viewing will be held at the same location from 9:00-9:30 A.M. Burial will be in the Colonel Raymond F. Gates Memorial Veterans’ Cemetery, Rocky Hill. Following the burial, a memorial service will be held at 11:30 A.M. at Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church, 1324 Chapel St., New Haven.
