Billy “Bill” R. Reddish, 80, of North Haven, entered into eternal rest on March 1, 2016. He was the widower of Elizabeth Ann Reddish.
Mr. Reddish was born in Durham, NC on June 22, 1935, a son of the late Henry Reddish, Sr. and Mary P. Reddish.
He was a U.S. Army veteran. Prior to becoming a self-employed General Contractor, Bill was employed by the former Armstrong Rubber Co.
Mr. Reddish was a member of Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church. An avid golfer, he was a longtime member of the Knickerbockers Club in New Haven. Bill was also a member of Widow’s Sons Lodge PHA #1 Masons.
He is survived by a daughter, Darcy N. Reddish; son, Keenan R. (Teresa) Reddish; a sister, Louise Reddish Thorpe; grandchildren, Jonét N. Bolden and Loren, Aidan and Erin Reddish; a special friend, Georgia Simon; sisters in-law, Mary V. Reddish and Cleomis Reddish; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by brothers, Charles, Thomas and Henry Reddish, Jr.
A celebration of Mr. Reddish’s life and legacy will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at 11:00 AM at Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church, 1324 Chapel St., New Haven. Viewing will be held at the church from 9:00-11:00 AM. Burial will be in Beaverdale Cemetery.
