Henry Edward Golding, 81, of New Haven, entered eternal rest on October 27, 2021. He was predeceased by his wife Brenda Golding.
Mr. Golding was born in Blue Hole District, St. Catherine, Jamaica on April 7, 1940, a son of the late Levi Golding and Belzina Jones Golding.
He was employed for many years by Compass Group at Southern Connecticut State University in the General Utility Department.
He leaves to cherish loving memories, his sisters, Hermina Jackson (Aston) and Alice Harrison (Clifton); brothers, Gilbert Golding (Brenda), Franklyn Golding (Delrose), Lewis Golding (Florence) and Clifton Golding (Corrine); four grandchildren, Jasmin Golding, Dante Golding, Craigrianna Golding and Dashawn Golding; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by a son, Craig Golding; and six brothers and sisters.
A Celebration of Mr. Golding’s life and legacy will be held Friday, November 12, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Zion Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 335 Putnam Ave., Hamden. A viewing will be held at the church from 10:00-11:00 A.M. The burial will be in Hamden Plains Cemetery. Due to COVID-19, please adhere to all safety precautions.
