William F. Gray, known as Pete, left this life peacefully on August 6, 2024. He was the husband of the late Mildred Gray of Ansonia, CT, and father to Steven Gray of Columbia, MD and Lisa Gray of Oakland, CA.
In addition to his children, he leaves a daughter-in-law, Nicole; grandchildren, Chase and Synclaire; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends to remember him.
A memorial service will be held at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 111 Whalley Ave., New Haven, August 15, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. am.

Pete Gray, The memories are so long I don’t know where to start. For me life began at Dixwell Neighborhood Corp.. what a friend you have been to me, I know for a fact that I couldn’t have accomplished the things I have garnished in my life time. You were a legend to me and allowed me to create the things I have been able to give to others.
I can’t thank you and any your family for helping me.

To Gray Family:Sending condolences 💐 prayers on your beloved father and bro also grand kids. Rembering days when Karen Yopp used to babysit lLisa&Steven on Tilton St,and your grandfather teaching group of us recycling ♻️ newspaper and other things. How Pete had Dixwell Corporation giving out summer jobs, and how we joint Antilliean on kenningston St organization formed from our Warm parents & grandparents from West Indies. And how his late buddies Jack Valentine and Stanley Rogers did things in Dixwell.Pete and I had our tough times in the neighborhood but still worked together and late Mae Ola Riddick to get neighborhood together. My moms going to school with your aunts and St Luke’s our family church and joint ing GFS with late Edna Carnegie teaching the girls 👧🏾 various things in church and outside for growing into adulthood.Now Pete has finished his labor in Dixwell,,and have some good memories of your late mom’s mildred and father .So now just reminisce on the good the bad times and continue with your lives making both your parents proud of both of you 💕🙏🏽
