Therodges Greene, Jr., of Hamden, passed away at the age of 64 on November 5, 2023. He was the husband of Karen D. Greene.
Mr. Greene was born in New Haven, CT on January 31, 1959, a son of the late Therodges Greene, Sr. and Edna Greene.
He graduated from Hillhouse High School in New Haven. While in high school, he played on the football team.
Prior to retiring, Therodges was employed by the State of Connecticut, Department of Transportation for many years.
As a hobby, he enjoyed and loved repairing and collecting trucks and cars.
On April 9, 2004, he and Karen Chambers united in matrimony, whom he loved dearly.
In addition to his wife, he leaves to cherish loving memories, a son, Therodges Greene, III and his wife Ruth; stepsons, Justin Pittman and Donnell Pinkett; brother, Gregory Greene and his wife Christine; a sister, Janet Greene; several grandchildren; aunts, uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Pearson.
A celebration of Mr. Greene’s life and legacy will be Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. Dear Loved Ones:
I am writing to express my deepest condolences on the loss of our dear Therodges Greene Jr., a beloved cousin, husband, and father. I share your sorrow during this time; it is truly a tremendous loss.
Therodges was a beacon of love and generosity, touching numerous lives with his kindness and warmth. His passing has left an indelible mark on our hearts, a testament to the incredible impact he made on all of us.
To his wife Karen, remember that the bond you two shared transcends the constraints of time and space. His love will forever live on in the memories you created together. Draw strength from those moments, for they are a reminder of a love that was and will always be strong and powerful.
And to his wonderful son, TJ know that your father was a remarkable man whose legacy will continue through you. He has instilled virtues and strengths in you that will guide you in life’s journey.
