Pamela L. Council Hughes, 53, of Waterbury, entered eternal rest on January 13, 2020.
She was born in Robersonville, NC on December 31, 1966, daughter of Janie L. Council and the late Willie J. Council.
Pamela served as the founder and longtime Pastor of Faith Generation Ministries in Waterbury and at the time of her passing, was employed by the Waterbury Public Schools.
In addition to her mother, she leaves to cherish loving memories, her husband, Charles Hughes; a daughter, Danina Britto; brother, Curvin K. Council and his wife Kelly; a sister, Carolyn Williams; niece, nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Pamela’s life and legacy will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 9:00 AM at Trinity Temple Church of God in Christ, 285 Dixwell Ave., New Haven. Viewing will be held at the church from 8:00 – 9:00 AM. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
Pamela was my oldest cousin. She will be missed by many. She was a strong, bold, courageous, vibrant, passionate, and loved by many. Many of us admired her motivation and inspiration to aid others in her family and community. Pamela was a joy and pleasure to be around. She was full of laughter and filled with the love of God in her heart and through her ministry. Rest on my cousin and save a spot for me in heaven.

l am still devasted walking in a daze can’t believe the phone call l received Pam and l go back many years a women of God that could preach from the depth of her heart and sing a church to their feet l attended a church where Pam was a preacher. their was not a youth choir at the church. who started a youth choir Pam who took money out there pocket and did outing for the kids pam. well her youth choir expanded out of control real quick and Pam needed help she ask me would l help her yes l said real quick and we bonded day 1 she always thought of others before herself we both had that in common Pam would give you her heart. all her hips are paid in full she’s now in the arms of the almighty where every day is Sunday the streets are page with gold we have to continue to keep are house in order if we want to see Pam again. my love and prayers are with the family keep strong we lost a good soul but God makes no mistakes.

We just honored her at our 2019 Holla Back Excellence Awards for a Pastors Appreciation award. She will be truly missed by family and her friends.
