Norma May Evelyn Carson Nicholson, 84, of New Haven, entered into eternal rest on February 12, 2015. She was the widow of Daniel Nicholson.

Born August 29, 1930, in Buff Bay, Portland, Jamaica, West Indies, she was the daughter of the late Elfreda Green and Ivan Carson.

Norma served as a Pediatric Nurse at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York for over 20 years.

She is survived by sons, Maurice “Danny” and Lloyd Nicholson; daughter Veronica Nicholson; daughters-in-law Ivy Suggs Nicholson and Sheila Nicholson; brothers, Mark and Paul; sister, Paula; 14 grandchildren;10 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives, loved ones and extended family.

She was predeceased by a son, Horace Nicholson and a grandson, Maurice G. Nicholson.

A celebration of Mrs. Nicholson’s life and legacy will be held Friday, February 20, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. Viewing and visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
