Myrtle White, 75, of Hamden, entered into eternal rest on February 2, 2016. She was the widow of James White.
Myrtle was born in New Haven, CT, August 28, 1940. She was a daughter of the late David Thomas and Myrtle Foster Thomas.
She was employed as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant for several nursing homes after retiring; she served as a volunteer for the Agency on Aging.
Myrtle is survived by her son Romond Williams of New Haven, sisters, Patricia Thomas of Hamden, Kristal Thomas of New Haven, Dawn Thomas of Charlotte, N.C. and Sheri Gollet (Ezra) of New Haven; her goddaughter, Mia Northrop of Springfield, MA; three grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is predeceased by her brother David Thomas Jr.
A celebration of Mrs. White’s life will be held Monday, February 8, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. at Beulah Heights First Pentecostal Church, 782 Orchard St., New Haven. Viewing will be held at the church from 10:00-11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
