Mary Alice Pina, 90, of New Haven, entered into eternal rest on December 4, 2014. She was the widow of Anthony Pina, Sr.

Born in Troy, AL, May 2, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Calvin Clark, Sr. and Levada Clark.

Mrs. Pina is survived by sons, Samuel (Barbara) and Lawrence Phillips and Frank and Arthur (Dorecier) Pina; daughters, Alice Smith, Alma Greene, Rosemary Bragg, Palmira Shelton; Maxine Pina and Linda Pina-Morris; a brother, Calvin Clark, Jr.; sisters, Florine Owens, Emma Nell Frizzle, Yvonne Kelly and Willie Pearl Ligon; 35 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by a son, Anthony Pina, Jr.; brother, Milous Clark; and sisters, Eunice Tate, Viola Wheeler, Annie Ruth Owens and Lois Townsend.

A celebration of Mrs. Pina’s life and legacy will be held Saturday, December 13, 2014, at 11:00 AM at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. Viewing will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will be private.
