Letitia S. Fitch, 86, of New Haven, entered eternal rest on June 6, 2017. She was the widow of Leroy E. Fitch.
“Tish” was born in New Haven, CT, September 17, 1930, daughter of the late Humphrey E. and Edna Smith.
Prior to retiring, she was employed at Winchester Western and then the former U.S. Repeating Arms for 40+ years.
She leaves to cherish loving memories, her son, Louis S. Miller; daughter, Mary Nyar Kendu; a grandson, Dorian Collins; nieces, Florence Smith and Harriett Byum; and a host of family and friends.
She was predeceased by a brother, Hamilton D. Smith; and a sister, Nadine Rier.
A celebration of Letitia’s life and legacy will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. Viewing will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Elsie Cofield AIDS Inter-Faith Network or the American Cancer Society.

Aunt tish you will be so missed. I will always love you and my heart aches to know you will not be here so we can have our girl talk. I feel your spirit is strong and you will always be a bright light in my life. Rest in PEACE sweet lady.
