Lawrence E. Lockwood, Jr., 73, of West Haven, entered eternal rest on December 29, 2021. He was the husband of Katherine Lockwood.

Mr. Lockwood was born in New Haven, CT, on November 30, 1948, the son of the late Lawrence E. Lockwood, Sr. and Mary Rosena Carver Lockwood.

Lawrence was previously employed for numerous years at Michael Musco Engineering as an Electrical Engineer and was a longtime and faithful member of New Flame Restoration Christian Center where he served as a Deacon.

He served in the Army and was honorably discharged in 1971.

In addition to his wife, he leaves to cherish loving memories, daughters, Tameeka P. Lockwood-Anderson (Jeffery), Lamonica Y. Adams (Kendell) and Tabitha E. Lockwood-Angelo (Anthony); sons, Michael L. and Sean M. Lockwood; sisters, Marilyn Adetona (Eddie) and Diane Moore (David); fifteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Faith H. Lockwood.

A celebration of Mr. Lockwood’s life and legacy will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at New Flame Restoration Christian Center, 1375 State Street, New Haven. A viewing will be held at the church from 10:00-11:00 A.M. The burial will be private. Anyone attending the services must adhere to all COVID-19 safety precautions.
