Keeshia Myra Freeman, 51, of New Haven, peacefully entered eternal rest on September 19, 2025.
Keeshia was born in New Haven, a lifelong Hamden resident, on February 22, 1974, she was the beloved daughter of the late William E. Freeman and Ersel (Eursel) T. Norris Freeman.
She was employed for 23 years at Oak Hill, formerly Connecticut Institute for the Blind and was a former member of Wayfaring Ministries.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Tiba Freeman, and Tiba’s companion, Demetrius Bynum; her godmother, Cheryl Pegues; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight Street, New Haven.
