Jeffrey King, Sr., age 60, of Hamden, CT, entered eternal rest on November 29, 2024. Born on December 19, 1963, in New Haven, CT, he was the beloved son of Booker T. King, Jr. and Bessie King Boyd.

A graduate of Richard C. Lee High School, Class of 1982, Jeffrey furthered his education at Eli Whitney Technical School, earning his certification in welding. Over his 38-year career, he demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill as a welder, working with companies such as Kramer Iron, Buchanan Marina, and most recently, O&G Industries, Inc.

Jeffrey was a proud and passionate Dallas Cowboys fan and an active member of the CT Cowboys fan club. He will be remembered for his devotion to family, his unwavering loyalty to his favorite team, and his warm, loving spirit.

He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey “Jay” King, Jr. (Sussely Santos) and Eric King (Pricilla Fonseca); his stepfather, Willie J. Boyd; his companion, Kimberly Jones; and his former spouse, Joanne Pagan King. Jeffrey also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, lovingly referred to as “his Queens”: Iyannah Leigh King, Jayda Makenzie King, Miarose Maldonado, Jazmynn Evelissa King, Kaylani King, and Peyton King. Additionally, he is survived by his siblings, Darryl King (Stefanie), Lynette King Perkins (Phillip), and Michelle King; nephews, Jalani Jenkins and Stephen King (Shaniqua); a great niece, Nia King; his Cowboy Nation Worldwide Club (Kevin, Tasha, Vet, Columbus, Troy and 50); along with a host of other family members and friends.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Jazmynne King; a granddaughter, Ryelee King; maternal grandparents, Lucious and Pearl Antrum; paternal grandparents, Booker T. King, Sr. and Bazella King; uncles, Private First Class Harvey Antrum and Herman Antrum; and a nephew, Mychal Darryl King.

A celebration of Jeffrey’s life and legacy will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. The burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven.
