Gilberto Figueroa, 81, of Hamden, entered eternal rest on April 6, 2018.
Mr. Figueroa was born in Juncos, Puerto Rico on February 24, 1937, a son of the late Victor Figueroa and Nicholasa Hernandez Figueroa.
He had been employed at Elm City Cheese Co.
Gilberto is survived by his wife, Evangelina Luna Figueroa; daughters, Nancy and Lisette Figueroa; sisters, Secundina Figueroa Hernandez and Nicholasa Vidro; grandchildren, Raquel and Adriana Sein, Kenneth Jackson and Daevon Lafrazier; a great grandchild, Eliel Costin; other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by three brothers and a sister.
A celebration of Mr. Figueroa’s life and legacy will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at 11:00 AM at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St. New Haven. Viewing will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park.

My deepest condolences are with the Figueroa family and friends of Gilberto at this time. I hope that you can find comfort in knowing that God is with those who are broken hearted and soon he promises that we will see our loved ones again (Psalm 34:18, Acts 24:15). Again I am so sorry.
