Barbara C. Wright, 83, of Middletown, entered eternal rest on March 10, 2019. She was the widow of James Arthur Wright, Sr.
Mrs. Wright was born in Ansonia, CT on October 27, 1935, a daughter of the late Andre Martins Tavares and Harriett Johnson Martins.
She was employed at the V.A. Hospital for over 25 years and was a longtime parishioner of St. Martin de Porres Church in New Haven where she served on the Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary.
She leaves to cherish loving memories, daughters, Jacalyn Anne Wright, Janarleen Wright Boria and Jayne Andrea Wright Cypress; a son, James Arthur Wright, Jr.; sisters, Virginia Perry and Joyce Maynard; twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by brothers, Sonny and Andre Martins; and a sister, Harriett Parks.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martin de Porress Church, 136 Dixwell Ave., New Haven. Viewing and visitation will be held at the church from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Burial will be private.

I was so sad and sorry to hear about the passing of Barbara. Unfortunately, I found out the day after she was buried. My condolences go out to the entire family. God bless you all.
