Patrillah (Trilla) Gore was born on November 13, 1972 in Trenton, New Jersey to Lewartha Gore Salmond and Jestro Hart, but the late Edward Salmond, Sr. Raised Patrillah as his own daughter. Patrillah made her earthly transition into eternal rest on December 31, 2019 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Patrillah was educated in the New Haven Public School District. She was an employee of Chartwells at Quinnipiac University for 24 years where she also was the President of the United Steelworkers Local 745 Union.

She was a member of Christian Union FGOM and a member of Sister Ministry.

Patrillah enjoyed the finer things in life. She lived her life to the fullest. She loved playing cards, cooking, shopping and traveling. She was loyal and dedicated to her family and friends, but most of all, she loved all of her nieces and nephews.

She will be forever missed and cherished by her mother, Lewartha (Edward, Sr.) Salmond of New Britain, CT; her grandmother, Annie Pearl Bellamy-Gore of SC; her brothers, Edward Salmond, Jr., Teddy (Tammy) Salmond and Bobby Snell all of New Haven, CT; sisters, Cultrillah (Jermaine) Salmond-Bufford of Bridgeport, CT, Tashima Snell of New Haven, CT, Kenya Taylor of West Haven, CT, Lawanda Griffin-Barno, Diane Harrington both of New Haven, CT and Marvella Hyatt-McCalin of NC; special uncles, Reo Gore, Jr. Johnny Lee Gore, Jimmie Gore all of Trenton, NJ and Donnie Lee Gore of Myrtle Beach, SC; special aunts, Hope (Craig) Kennedy of West Haven, CT and Annie Reese Gore of SC; a special friend, Gwendolyn “GB” Battle; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, god children, other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her father, Edward Salmond, Sr.; three uncles, Bobby Lee Gore, Dan Gore, Sr. and Daniel “Pookie” Gore; and godson Daron “Funt” Mabry.

A celebration of Patrillah’s life and legacy will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 11:00 at Christian Union Full Gospel Church, 426 Washington Ave., West Haven. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven.
