Janice Rogers Kershaw, 78, of West Haven, entered into eternal rest on May 22, 2015.

Born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late John Wesley Rogers and Marie Rogers.

She was employed for numerous years as a Seamstress at Starter Corporation as well as several other local clothing manufacturing companies.

Ms. Kershaw is survived by her children, Cheryl Kershaw, Vera Rosemond and Christine Kershaw Hobson (Ronald); her former husband, Christopher Kershaw; grandchildren, Aja Rosemond Marks (David) and Eric Colacino Rosemond; a great grandson, Malcolm John Marks; a brother, Thomas Rogers; former son in-law, Claude Rosemond and his children, Molly and Annabelle; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by a sister, Dolores Files and a brother John Rogers, Jr.

A celebration of Ms. Kershaw’s life and legacy will be held Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
