Dianne Bishop, 80 entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 11, 2020 in her home. She was predeceased by her beloved husband John M. Bishop Jr. and her son John M. Bishop III. Dianne was born in Hartford, CT on October 1, 1939, a daughter of the late LeRoy Warren Anderson and Bessie Lillian Smith Anderson.
Dianne was a LPN at New Fairview for many years and a very special caregiver/life-coach to several members of her own family. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother,(Nini), and Great-grandmother.
Dianne was a great cook as well as a lover of all kinds of Crafts from quilting, knitting, and crocheting; both an awesome seamstress and great artist. She loved to listen to music from Yonni to Lionel Richie and Michael Jackson. Our mother was gifted with a sharp mind and very perceptive regarding people. Her love and wisdom will live on in those whose lives she touched.
Dianne leaves to cherish her loving memories: daughters, Deborah L. Hilliard (Kenneth), Wanda K. Morgan and Loren C. Bishop-Brown; sisters, Bessie E. Lorraine Scott- Moore and Barbara A. Young; a brother, Charles F. Anderson (Sue); six grandchildren, Ariayne Hilliard Grey (Aaron Wesley), Channing Y. Hilliard, Brandy N. Morgan (Michael), Celeste A Morgan, John A. Brown (Dominque) and Jordan A. Brown; two great grandchildren, Michael & M’Chaela; a sister in-law, Ethel Anderson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends whom loved her dearly.
Dianne was preceded in death by her siblings, LeRoy W. Anderson and Alberta Elaine Smith.
Viewing will be held, Friday, June 19, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight Street, New Haven. A maximum of 5 people will be allowed entrance into the building at one time.
