Carol Ann Logan Lindsey passed away May 3, 2020 at Yale New Haven Hospital the same day she was born 84 years ago. Her late parents were Alfred Logan and Glenna Logan Ward of Mount Vernon, NY, and was also predeceased by her brother Robert Logan.

She was a well-rounded “do-it-all”, “out-the-way” kind of women. While running a tight ship as a homemaker, she was challenging at bowling, bid whist, and scrabble. A gardener of roses and gladiolus, a skilled dressmaker, an amazing cook and a financial wizard too…she’d make $1 spend like $10.

Her former employers included AC Gilbert, Pratt and Whitney, USPS, New Haven Public Library, Dr. Timpson’s office and the VNA of New Haven. It is these employers and the close-knit families of Brookside, that in some way, directed and inspired her children’s adult career decisions.

With her former, late husband, Ellsworth, they bore 5 children, Gail Lindsey of IL, Colette (John) McClendon of OH , Pamela Lindsey of New Haven, CT, Rene’ and Glenn Lindsey of North Haven, CT; 9 grandchildren: Dina (Thomas) McMath, Geneine (Paul) Robinson, Stacy Howard, Regina (David) Lindsey, Ray Napoleon, Brett Harris, Adrian, Sean Lindsey, Glenn Lindsey; 18 great-grands, 1 great-great grandchild. She is also survived by her step-sister, Stephanie Logan of New York.

The family would like to express their thanks to relatives and friends during our time of bereavement and a special thanks to Silver Spring Care Center, Meriden, CT for treating her like their “grandmother” and the Yale New Haven Hospital East Pavilion 5-5 wing for comfort beyond measure.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
