Bernard “Mr. B” Charles Scott, of West Haven, departed this life on March 3, 2021. He was the husband of Joyce Clinton Scott.

Mr. Scott was born in Binghamton, NY on January 18, 1946, a son of the late Rev. Nathaniel Roosevelt Scott and Elizabeth Ophelia Thompson.

For many years he worked as a salesman in car dealerships, and recently as a driving school instructor.

Mr. Scott served in the Army and received an honorable discharge and was a member of the APA.

In addition to his wife, he leaves to cherish loving memories, his daughter, April Almaas (Elvid); grandchildren, Torsten, Amalia and Aleksander; stepsons, Mark Clinton (Julissa); and Michael Clinton (Carolyn); step-grandchildren, Shawn, Joseph, Mark, Justyce, Jayden, Cora and Emma; a brother, Joseph Scott (Connie); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by a brother, Herbert Scott; and a sister, Delores Moore.

A Celebration of Mr. Scott’s life and legacy will be held Thursday, March 11, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the State Veterans’ Cemetery, 317 Bow Ln., Middletown, CT.
