Alfred T. Boulding, of Hamden, entered eternal rest on July 9, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Charlotte Boulding.

Born in Brooklyn, NY on December 14, 1943, he was a son of the late Alfred and Anna Boulding.

Mr. Boulding retired from International Business Machines (I.B.M.) T.J.Watson Research Center as a Research Technician. Prior to I.B.M., he was employed as a Research Technician for Yale University School of Medicine.

Alfred attended Queens College in Queens, NY and was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Brooklyn, NY. In his early years, he was a member of the popular vocal group “The Precisions,” who were signed by Golden Crest Records in 1961. Affectionately called Popsey by family and friends, he will most be remembered for his willingness to assist others, his good natured personality, his many usages of “idioms,” his enjoyment of socialization with family and friends and summer vacations on Martha’s Vineyard.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Eric Boulding; daughters, Wendy Boulding and Renee Bragg (Bruce); two grandsons, Jalen and Justin Bragg; sisters, Shelley Alexander, Gloria Herb and Patricia Wade (John); brothers, Norman Boulding (Phyllis), Gary Boulding and Wayne Hodges (cousin); cherished aunts, Ruth Robertson (Milton), Madeline Harris, Joan Wickham and Brenda Brisbane; and a host of extended family and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate to Mr. Boulding’s life and legacy will be held Friday, July 14, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven.
